Treatment
When seeking care for postpartum depression, it is important to remember that there are a variety of different treatment plans. Each person is different, and thus not all methods will work the same. Here are a few treatment options that you and your healthcare provider can discuss.

Impact of Antidepressants on Breastfeeding
Antidepressants are prescribed medication referred by a doctor. According to Massachusetts General Hospital of Women’s Mental Health, though a small dosage of antidepressants can be secreted into breast milk, there is NO evidence to suggest that antidepressants pose significant risks to the nursing infant. It is important to consult a doctor to see if antidepressants are right for you.
